Reading newspapers has become less popular in the US and UK Online news has become more popular than reading newspapers in the US, according to a survey. It is the third most popular form of news, behind local and national TV stations, the Pew Research Center said.
The Twittersphere was buzzing about the outage Network problems knocked more than 10 million WordPress blogs offline in a two hour outage on 18 February. WordPress.com said the problem was caused by a core router change at one of its data centre providers which “broke the site”.
Google Buzz has generated a lot of controversy since its launch last week. Privacy concerns continue to dog the new social networking experiment, spammers are starting to move in on Buzz , and Google has rushed out several Buzz revisions in reaction to privacy concerns .
The Wall Street Journal reports that more changes are planned for Buzz in response to user feedback, including the option to block conversations and other filtering features. Even as Buzz impressed some social media enthusiasts, it also angered some folks for various reasons — the most significant being that it’s a bit noisy and difficult to sort through, and that it isn’t quite as privacy-friendly as everyone would have preferred.
