First person shooter game Portal 2 will soon be available
for the Mac apart from Xbox 360 and PC platforms, as Game Informer magazine
reports. Portal 2 is a sequel to the
first Portal game that was released in 2007 as a part of the Orange Box
compilation of Valve’s games for Xbox 360 and PC. Portal is a physics-centric game
in which player has to create two teleporting portal entrances to solve several
puzzles.

Reports also indicate that Valve’s Steam digital games
distribution service might accommodate the Mac and iPhone platform. More
information on the same is anticipated at Game Developers Conference starting
tomorrow. Steam has its own set of tools meant for anti-piracy concerns.
Many iPhone apps get cracked and pirated over the web. If Steam’s tool set does
wonders, it would be a win-win situation for Apple to bring most popular titles
on Mac and iPhone OS platforms with a security backup. Also, it will
motivate many small time iPhone game developers to make best of Steamworks 2009
tool kit
.

If you have no idea how Portal runs, then take a look
at this game play video.
