Joe Wright and Working Title Films are reportedly developing a live-action version of ‘The Little Mermaid,’ based on the fairytale by Hans Christian Andersen. According to the Hollywood Reporter , Wright and Working Title will be working off a script by Abi Morgan (‘Brick Lane’). The film is said to have been inspired by a children’s puppet theater production of the fairytale in London.
